Half Day Wine Tasting Tour

Nestled near the bottom of Sonoma Valley are two sister wineries, Cline Family Cellars & Jacuzzi Family Vineyards. Considering they live across from one another, they make a fine pair for a half-day wine tour trip!

Our concierge team at Tailor My Stay took a ride with our private driver — a very comfortable and pleasant drive. Along the way, we passed through hills, farmland, and beautiful views from the Bay Bridge.

Our first stop was Cline Family Cellars, a gorgeous family farmhouse surrounded by a lush garden landscape. This place is a fantastic family friendly winery. Its natural setting is the perfect backdrop for picnics, weddings, and the like. They even have some donkeys you can pet during your visit!

Our wine tasting was not only delicious, but also educational. With the help of our wine sommelier, we learned about the history of the vineyard, how the grapes are grown, and so much more.

Our next destination is a quick two-minute drive (if that) across the street to Jacuzzi Family Vineyards. Jacuzzi looks as if it had been plucked straight out of an Italian street and plopped into Sonoma Valley. The architecture of the building alone screams authentic Italian wine.

At Jacuzzi, you also have an option to do an olive oil tasting, which is rather unique. We went ahead and tried it in between our first and second round of wine tastings. Our olive oil tour guide was absolutely lovely, knowledgable, and quite witty to boot! Not only did we get a tour of the machinery used to separate the olives from the twigs and the machinery that actually makes the olive oil, but we also got to taste several different types of olive oil and we were educated on their various uses and health benefits too. Absolutely worth it!

After our olive oil tasting, we went on a little tour of the grounds — stunning — and then we headed back indoors to have our second round of wine tasting of the day. Once again, we had an informative wine sommelier who told us everything we ever wanted to know about Jacuzzi’s wine making process and family history.

We ended our half-day after two wine flights and an olive oil tasting experiences a little tipsy, a little giggly, and relaxed in knowing we had a safe ride home, thanks to our private car service.
