Parking

  • You can use the SFMTA site to find parking near your destination. Filter by neighborhood, or type of service, including EV charging or Motorcycle rates.

  • Make sure you look at signs and curb colors before you leave your car. White zones are for drop-off, green zones are for limited time (usually 10 minutes) and yellow zones are loading zones with varying limits. Additionally, some streets will have daily tow-away zones or street cleaning times. This parking guide on the SFMTA site will help you navigate the rules.

  • SFMTA parking meters on blocks within walking distance of Oracle Park and Chase Center operate from 9am to 10pm Monday to Saturday and from 12pm until 10pm on special event Sundays; during special event hours, meters are priced at $10/hour (effective July 1, 2023).

  • Many hotels do not accommodate oversized vehicles. For your tall SUVs and trucks, check the SFMTA site for parking garages with clearance over 6’4”. These are some suggestions, but there are others:

    5th + Mission Garage (height 6'8")

    Pierce St Garage (1st entr - 6'6" 2nd entr - 7')

    North Beach Garage (height 7')

    Sutter Stockton Garage (height 6'5")

  • Consider RV parking sites in Marin over the Golden Gate Bridge or at Candlestick Park (the south end of San Francisco.)

  • Whether your car is on the street or in a garage, keep your valuables out of view. Note: Thieves now scan trunks for blue tooth signals. Do not leave any laptops, iPads, phones or other blue tooth devices in your vehicle - not even in the trunk.
